Jaguar

At the southern tip of the Amazon River Quest, your journey takes you into a dark cave where you will be transported to the realm of the spotted predator, the jaguar. South America’s largest wildcat loves water and the river is one of its favourite hunting grounds because of its abundant source of food. Taking a stalk and ambush approach to hunting for its prey, this stealthy predator is an excellent swimmer and is perfectly capable of carrying large prey even while swimming.

Giant Anteater

With its distinct features of a narrow head, bushy tail and long snout, it is almost impossible to miss the giant anteater. As it shuffles around searching for food, the giant anteater uses its long and narrow tongue to lap up ants and termites from ant mounds.  This toothless animal eats quickly, flicking its tongue about 150 times per minute. In a single day, it can eat up to 30,000 ants and termites.
